- U.S. Kmart sells a few copies of Modern Warfare 3 five days early
- Copies are appearing on eBay
- Microsoft will allow it to be played on Xbox Live early
Several copies of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 have been sold early in the U.S. by Kmart stores across the country.
Joystiq confirms that some copies were sold, then put up for sale on eBay, only to be removed shortly afterwards. This process has been repeating itself all day from numerous sellers.
Kmart in the U.S. is now aware of the error, and has advised its stores not to sell the game before the international release on November 8. It has not broken street date, and will not continue to be sold until then.
If you do somehow manage to snag one on eBay, as some early-birds have, Microsoft has confirmed that they will allow gamers to play them on Xbox Live with no consequences.
Good luck finding a game.
