The Wallstreet Journal has broken US embargo and revealed the "Call of Duty Elite" paid subscription service for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3.
Developed at Activision's new Beachhead studio, the Call of Duty Elite monthly subscription will include all future map packs - generally around AUD $20 each - among other features. A monthly fee will be charged for the package, but pricing is yet to be determined.
The WSJ reports that it will allow players to "to analyze their performance within the game, gauging factors such as which weapons have been most successful for them in killing enemies."
Further benefits of the monthly subscription are expected to be revealed at E3 next month.
However, it won't be a prerequisite and online play will remain free in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3.
