my glove box is broken too in my astra, didnt notice but the plastic strips connecting the door to whatever holds it when you pull it out and slide it back in, one snapped then the other snapped. now its just 2 rods not connected to anything and because of that the glove box light doesnt turn off when i close the door, guessing the plastic closes on the light switch or something. but it turns off when i lock the car so im not worried about a flat battery unless i forget to lock my car.
