Just wondering if anyone else has seen this series? Its brilliant! I downloaded an episode just to see what its like and couldnt get enough of it... so i ended up buying both seasons and downloading the third lol I heard they're even making a PC game for it which should be interesting... but i'm completely obsessed with this show now. Gotta get my hands on those books too...

Anyway! Anyone else love this show or what? For those who dont know anything about the show/books - its about a serial killer, Dexter Morgan, who works for the Miami Police Department as a forensic blood splatter analyst. Unlike other killers though Dexter has been taught to channel his urges and lust for murder by only killing "bad people" (usually other killers that have escaped the judicial process)

Its a really excellent show.

Up to the last episode of the fourth season. Trinity is such a freaking creep. "Hello, Dexter Morgan". And I think the worst part is, even though everyone hates spoilers, knowing that Rita is going to die at the end of this season has made it so much freaking worse. So much.

They don't sell the mysteries all that well in this do they? I had the Ice Truck Killer when they went back to the hospital the second time and Lundy's killer as soon as the journo girl started taking a creepy interest in interviewing Deb. A lot more intriguing than anything CSI/NCIS/Law and Order ever churns up though.

i think the thrill of watching dexter is meant to come from the idea of him getting caught more than anything. Getting in to sticky situations and finding a way out.

Finished S6 today, the ending was soooo good, can't wait till the next season

I really think they make it so you will know who the main guy is. It's what leads up to the ending which is a really good part and all the small guys he kills in the mean time

Saw the final episode of S6 as well. Boy, what a gripping finale. Can't wait to see how Dexter gets out of the jam this time.
I found S6 to be one of the best, and has many religious themes - considering Miami Metro is investigating the Doomsday Killers.

I reckon that the Doomsday Killer was the best serial killer out of the show, save Dexter.
The writers just executed it poorly.
But that season finale ending more than made up for it. [Derp]
