To be fair they are only doing a job, trying to earn a living; blame the bloke who sets up the company and hires them. I know it's annoying but raging at the telemarketer just makes you look like a *insert chosen expletive*

My Richie used to be one as well. Only for about a year, was awful. Lame hours, head aches from the head sets and ridiculous targets to reach.
Clearly he got out of it as soon as he could. Only took it because it was literally a 2 min drive from home and he was sick of working at Hungry Jacks... Lol, gotta love being 17 :D

Haha I was waiting for someone to eventually make a thread on this subject (surprised it took so long) so I could post one of this guys telemarketing pranks.

His YouTube channel name is Gerant Gerant pretty sure he's an Aussie, some of his clips on his page are really funny especially the most viewed ones.

Funny ay that was the first one that popped up on google & doesn't that sum up how little some women know about Batman :P, as soon as he said Wayne as a surname I knew what was up.

Check out a few of his other vids he gets repedetive calls from Indians who call trying to scam him into installing malware onto his computer, btw those guys are scum of the earth but he trolls them good.

When you find the one called "I am a computer" I thought that one was gold, that & the ones where he fires right up & drills them pretty hard.

Yep that's the one "Mr Kennett, you have an exuberant ding a ling" lmao =D

He handles & trolls telemarketers like a boss, a few of them he really drills & for good reason as they seem to call him daily like clockwork.

I had a number keep calling my mobile every day, I googled it & apparently it was some studio 2000 call centre where they continue to hassle people even after being told no thanks.

Anyone ever had someone try to scam them over the phone?

My Mum fell for one of those "Indian Microsoft" scammers....

Was the worst. She called me after she had been on the phone with them for almost 2 hrs "Removing the virus" from her computer.

What more can I say, a full format was needed.

That's horrible which is why I called them scum of the earth in my previous post, they also try to get bank/cc details in a similar manner.

It's awful how they prey on trusting/gullible/vulnerable people who aren't tech savvy, just listen to what they're saying to this guy? no wonder he cuts sick at the end of a few of these calls.

Yeah, its just something you cannot really fight against. I mean, I told my mother the basics,

The bank will never send you an email asking for details, EVER

Never enter details into a site you do not understand, always call me first ( this was also ignored when my Dad entered details into one of those "24 hr we are here to help you now" sites, for the low price of $19.. Needless to say he didn't even call me, he DROVE to the bank and canceled his CC because he didn't trust doing it over the phone (le sigh)

And the madness goes on.

Personally I have asked my parents to give up their computer, I have asked them to throw it into the bin and forget all memory of it.

Did I mention my Mum still thinks the "Internet is Facebook" she calls and says Fb wont allow her on Google... These people cannot be helped.

(Sorry that went a lil off topic, turned into a personal parent rant)
