I thought we could have a universal thread on all things concerning HDTV's, from plasmas to lcds. Ask questions, offer advice, announce up coming TV's all in one place. Please don't troll though and maybe back up your info with some links or pics.

Also post what TV you use and for what, if someone else owns the same TV you might be able to help them with whatever enquires.

My current TV is a Panasonic GT30, will post a pic soon.

What does everyone in here think of the Samsung UA326000D? 32 is the biggest I can get in my room due to an overhanging shelf. Think I might wall mount. But yes in terms of picture quality in a 32, recommend away? The 6000D has 200Hz (AFAIK..??) and is looking a winner at this point in time...I was thinking about a BRAVIA but now am leaning the other way...

I wasn't overly keen on a new tv until I saw the new Sony 3d tv running at Harvey Norman last week.

It was incredible.

I have the top of the line 52" Bravia X from the 2009 range, which is an incredible picture and has been brilliant.

Love the style of the Samsung with the X tv feet but am leaning to the top of the line 55" Bravia on the stand with the 6 degree lean... Am yet to see a PS3 game in 3D iin real life would love to see a demo somewhere.

Sony Bravia's right now are horrible tv's. Their top of the range for 2011 consists of the entry level EX720, the mid-range NX720 and the high-end HX925 series. You might as well forget about the EX and NX series as these feature the horrid edge-lit LED and while the HX series has a nice picture (great for films) with deep blacks due to featuring proper back-lit LED it lags horribly for gaming. Plus for the past few years Sony's build quality has been fairly poor from failing LED's to lines appearing on screens little over 18 months old.

Samsung or Panasonic. Best advice.

that can be said for samsung LED as well. Pana entry level tv are nothing special either. only their top tier stuff is any good. the older V and VT series and the hopefully if the ZT comes out.

When money is tight why bother buying an expensive tv? :P

So your far from rich.. yet you have:

55" Samsung Series 7 3D for lounge, 42" LG Full HD for bedroom. Eventually will get a 65+" for lounge and the 55" will become bedroom tv

I tried a 3D TV using passive technology today. I was impressed, I am not a fan of 3D in the home but the flicker free images really impressed me. The picture was brighter compared to active shutter technology as well.

Thats right, its called interest free finance. I couldnt afford to buy one outright. The reason you buy an expensive one is because as they say you get what you pay for.you buy a cheap one you will be spending more in the long run
